Maple Glazed Salmon (Gluten-Free)
Ingredients
- 2 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon crushed black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- Optional: a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of chili flakes for heat
Directions
- Preheat and prep:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Make the glaze:
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Coat the salmon:
Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet. Brush generously with the maple glaze, making sure each piece is fully coated.
- Bake to perfection:
Roast for 12–15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the glaze is caramelized and glossy.
- Serve and shine:
Drizzle with the remaining glaze from the pan, add a squeeze of fresh lemon if desired, and finish with a light sprinkle of crushed black pepper.
Jazzy Tip: Serve it over garlic mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a bed of sautéed spinach. For extra flair, reduce a little more maple glaze on the stove until thick and syrupy—then brush it over right before serving for that signature “restaurant shine.”
